Hey guys, so I was just watching this YouTube video about Jackie Wilson and let me tell you, I was shook! This dude was a serious talent back in the day. They called him Mr. Excitement for a reason – he could sing, dance, and put on a show like nobody’s business.
The video was talking about how Jackie influenced some big names in music like Teddy Pendergrass, Michael Jackson, and Elvis Presley. Can you imagine being that big of a deal? It’s crazy to think about how one person’s talent can impact so many others.
There was this one story in the video about how Jackie’s mom stopped him from becoming a boxer and pushed him towards music instead. Thank goodness for that, right? I mean, can you imagine a world without his music? No way!
It’s sad to hear about all the struggles he faced in his career, especially with the mob-affiliated record company stuff. It’s like, dang, even mega stars have to deal with some shady business.
