Hey guys, so I was just scrolling through YouTube, and I came across this interview that was, how do I put it nicely, a bit cringeworthy. Jeff, or as they like to call him, “the goat” (which stands for greatest of all time, apparently), was interviewing this actor, writer, director, and co-creator of “Hacks.” At first, Jeff mistakenly thought the guest was a man because of the term “partner,” but later corrected himself. The guest, CW Downs, was showered with compliments about his looks and Emmy nominations.
However, the interview itself was a bit all over the place. Jeff barely asked CW any proper questions, and it kind of left me feeling awkward just watching it. To top it off, there was talk about Aquafina and this whole “Downs to clown” phrase that honestly made me raise an eyebrow. And then there was this weird discussion about CW’s natural scent and hosting a party where people had to sniff him to choose a fragrance. Like, seriously, it was all a bit too much information for me.
I couldn’t help but wonder where Jimmy was during all of this. Like, was he just MIA or what? The interview just felt like a missed opportunity to dive into some real conversations, you know? Especially with all the important stuff going on in the world right now. I mean, someone even dropped the Palestinian flag emoji in the comments, calling Jeff out to speak on the topic.
Overall, I was left feeling a bit disappointed by the whole thing. It seemed like a perfect chance to have a meaningful chat with CW, but it ended up being a bit of a cringefest. Maybe next time, Jeff could focus on more substantial topics rather than sniff tests and strange phrases. Just my two cents on the matter!Watch video on YouTube
